Being your best self

When we as children of God seek to become better,
we are given the opportunity.

ether 12: 27 "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness."
I have been seeking to be better, but the first part of the process is
hard BUT helpful.
We find out that yes, there are areas that we need help & change in,
and the Lord knows it too.
it is not because God doesn't love us, not because we aren't good/great/special.
He does so because he wants us to COME unto Him.

"I give unto men weakness that they may be humble"
he simply wants us to be humble ourselves & Come to Him. He is our daddy & loves us.

" and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me;"
if we do so, He will help us become better. He WILL
give us strength/knowledge & power in our weak areas. He will.
for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Being our best selves is more than us working on our own, but also
giving ourselves to humility so we can be taught
by the Lord.

But we must must must do our part.
"We have to do our part. God is not going to tell us the answers. Success has little to do with intelligence. It has everything to do with diligence based on righteous principles. If we want to do better in our classes and want the Holy Ghost to help us, we may have to work harder or make better use of our time."

Diligently seeking betterment and allowing God to succor us
can help us make weak things
strong & becoming our best self.

A dating success story

Aaron took me on two dates this week
date #1
He threw my phone next to me and walked out the door.
I didn't notice bc I was face booking, but then I got a call on my phone
and it said Aaron Moss calling.....
So i picked it up and Aaron said "I am in the car, put on your pants, we are going on a date!"
So I did...I got in the car and he took me to my FAVE kiwi loco.

We got yogurt and took a long walk.
My fave thing about Aaron is he makes me laugh constantly!
I was walking and my foot started hurting...dumb cyst
and so i started limping awkwardly-
he just makes a comment I look like a pirate and we keep going...
We go into a movie store and we do our fave thing
walk around and make fun of dumb movies.
My fave was mean girls 2
(it was soooo good it went straight to quality work)

date #2
Aaron wakes me up and says
"jennie its no time for sleeping! get up & ready! We are going on a date!!"
So I got ready and he was at the kitchen table searching things madly on the net. :)
I got ready and we left going north toward yellowstone. He says, "are you excited?"
I am thinking "yeah, I hope we are not going to a gun store....."
We got off the the Saint Anthony exit and I knew what we were doing.......
We went to one called polka dot and I got tons of lace!
Oh and some fab fabric straight from the 60s.
We went to check out but we had no cash.
But they take check so we wrote them one from our handy check book in the car
and set out for food.
We went down one block and saw this beauty...

Aaron and I are all for
adventures so we ventured on inside to this small place.
Oh my goodness!
The food was bomb-literally I ordered a pizza bomb and it was bomb.
Not too greasy-super good with tons of veggies inside

I think it is safe to say we had some major wins this week with date time.
Thank you Aaron for being such a thoughtful man.
Love you Ar.
